Solved::Left Padding with Space chars to align strings horizonaly won't work?

I have a horizontal array of Hyper-labels (OCX that does not support center alignment) that need to be 5 chars wide and all caps to horizontally align properly.

I tried left padding with spaces but that does not scooch the label chars to the right at all.

If I left pad with the say, the char 'M' that does indeed scooch the string to the right.
I set the padding character's color to that of the form to make it disappear as the hyperlabel control supports inter string color changing.

But what a Pain!

If there any way to make VB6 respect the Space character for left pad like it does others such as 'M'?

Thanks in advance

P.S. I have the source fos the HyperLabel in my project but am too lame to know how to add center alignment like native VB6 labels.
This would preclude the need to kludge the alignment as I do now.
