How can you detect your current PC's time that is set?

So you know how your PC displays the current time in the bottom right hand corner of the computer?
I'm making a little store program for school and i'd like to have on the receipt the time the purchase was made, and perhaps the date too.
If this is possible then can you please tell me how and what the most basic way the code could be? thanks!
