Dilema With Overlay

Folks:

Love programming in VB6, but have never come up with this exact dilemma before, and am hoping
someone can lead me in the correct direction, as I cannot find an already made program that will do
what I need, and, be as simple/basic as I need this to be.

Short and sweet, I'll cut to the chase.

My brother-in-law "flips" houses, and I am in charge of media, (I photograph before, and after shots).

However, my camera, natively, "does not" do Onion Skinning, which is exactly what I need out of my VB6 program.

Case in point, I need, for alignment's sake, to be at the exact same angle, location, etc., for the, "after" shots, and
with my camera not being able to do that, my quest is to create an extremely basic, and simple program, that I can
simply bring up the, "before" JPG, in a window, and then, Overlay, or, virtual Onion Skin the current, "live" feed
from my camera, plugged into a laptop, via USB, to grab the, "after" shots.

I need nothing fancy, no saves, no captures, nothing, just a static JPG, with an "adjustable opacity" live feed from
a USB camera, directly on top of the static JPG.

I can get the JPG on the form, but have never dealt with, "overlaying" anything, let alone how to program a, "live feed".

Any leads on a proper procedure?
