If a text in a string ends with * go to start of that word

Hi all,

Can someone please help me with this logic? I have a string e.g.

"pc4541@omnmb printer123*lptrd notebook141#opriu ipad662;mkilo"

I want to search for a word ending in e.g. "lptrd" and return the full text in that word e.g. "printer123*lptrd"
